How to Reveal Invisible Enemies in Baldur’s Gate 3

See Invisibility Spell

As the name suggests, this spell will reveal all the nearby enemies who have gone invisible. It is a level 2 Divination Spell that can be acquired by Bards, Sorcerers, and Wizards naturally. For the other classes, there is a Scroll of See Invisibility that can be purchased at any trader or merchant. The effect of this spell lasts until your next Long Rest, so be sure to make the most out of it.

Let Volo Extract the Parasite

Toward the end of Act 1 and the beginning of Act 2, you will meet an NPC Bard named Volo. While interacting with him, you will have to decide whether or not to let him remove the parasite behind your eye. If you let him perform the surgery, then you will lose one eye. But in return, Volo will replace it with a new Ersatz Eye. This replacement lets you permanently see enemies who are invisible in BG3.

Faerie Fire Spell

Apart from the See Invisibility, you can make use of a Faerie Fire spell. It is a Level 1 Evocation spell that can be unlocked by Bards, Druids, or Drows to see invisible enemies in BG3. Another way to obtain the Faerie Fire spell is by getting the Xyanyde weapon. However, you will have to kill Minthara for that, as this is her melee weapon. Not only all the invisible targets will be visible, but the Attack Rolls against them will have an advantage

Do AoE Damage

Using Spells or Weapons that do Area of Effect damage can also reveal invisible foes nearby. There are spells like Fireball and weapons like Alchemist’s Fire that can do the job for you. But there is a catch. You need to be mindful as the enemy will be invisible and you would probably not want to waste your move. Moreover, this method is temporary and the enemy can go invisible again after your move.

Note: Shadow enemies in Shadow-Cursed Lands (Act 3) can not be revealed using the above methods. To find them, you must use pure light. You can use spells or a Moon Lantern to do so.

Emerald Grove

• Emerald Grove Battle: Defeat the goblins attacking the grove within 1 long rest or the tiefling who opens the gate will die.
• Druid Grove Ritual: Complete within 10+ long rests or the ritual will conclude. Stop the timer by helping Kagha.
• Investigate the Beach: Save the boy from harpies within 1 long rest or he will die. Also save him before the Goblin Camp.
• Save the Tiefling Child: Rescue her from the snake before dealing with the Goblin Camp or she will die.
• Tiefling Bard: Help her compose music before the Goblin Camp or the chance will be missed.
• Sazza the Goblin Prisoner: Save her from the tiefling before defeating the Goblin Camp or she will die.

Wilds

• Dying True Soul: Speak to his disciples within 1 long rest or they will leave.
• Owlbear: Deal with the goblins in the cave before 1 long rest or they will kill the mother owlbear.
• Burning Inn: Enter and save those inside or they will all die after 1 long rest.
• Bugbear Assassin: Immediately kill the assassin to save his target looking through the telescope.
• Zhentarim Hideout: Interact before 1 long rest or the camp will vanish. Speak to the artist to continue his questline.
• Caravan Ambush: Save the merchants immediately or they will die after 1 long rest.

Blighted Village

• Gnome at the Windmill: Deal with his situation or he will disappear after an unknown number of long rests.

Underdark

• Poisoned Gnome: Give an antidote before saving Nere or starting Act 2 or she will die.
• Save Nere: Rescue him immediately as the timer starts upon entering Grymforge. He and gnomes will die after 1 long rest, visiting camp, or leaving area twice.

Companion

• Lae’zel at Mountain Pass: Find her immediately, or going to camp will kill her. She also seems to die if you just leave the area.
• Gale Hungers for Magic Items: Give a magic item every 2 long rests or he will leave after refusing twice.

Act 2 Time-Sensitive Quests

Shadow Cursed Lands

• Get the Moonlantern from Spiderman: Fail and the enemy will vanish after an unknown period with the lantern.
• Release the Pixie: Must be done by the end of Act 2 or the lantern vanishes in Act 3. Opening it helps a side quest.
• Save Rolan: He will die if encountered but not helped against shadow thralls.

Moonrise Towers

• Save the Prisoners: Free them before dealing with Nightsong at the end of Moonrise Towers temple.
• Assault on Moonrise Towers: Jaheira can potentially die during this. Take care and don’t rest before joining her.

Companion

• Halsin and the Shadow Portal: He can die if left alone on the beach after going through the portal, such as by taking a long rest.

Act 3 Time-Sensitive Quests

• Stop the Presses: Another bad story gets published after 1 long rest.
• Saving Your Companion: Infinite time until starting the tribunal, then 3 long rests before they die.
• Avenge the Drowned: Must be done before the Iron Throne or quest giver dies.
• Save Counselor Florrick: 5 long rests before execution upon entering Lower City.
• Killing Mystic Carrion: He respawns at full HP after 1 long rest if not fully defeated.
• Saving Duke Ravengard: Free all prisoners within 6 turns of entering the submarine, or it explodes.

You’ll find her isolated near some tents when you first meet Alfira at the Druid Grove. At this point, you can knock her unconscious without initiating combat. Make sure to turn on the Non-Lethal Damage in the options menu first. Then hit Alfira with a few melee weapon attacks until her health drops to 1 hit point remaining.

By knocking her out instead of fighting or letting her join you, Alfira will not go to your camp later. Instead, the druid Quil Grootslang will show up seeking refuge. She will take place if you let a party member die to the Dark Urge.

What to Do with Alfira?

Letting Alfira join your party or send her away from the grove will ultimately lead to her death, no matter what choices you make later. Only by knocking her unconscious early on can you circumvent her tragic fate.

Saving Alfira spares her from a grim end and allows her character potential to develop further in future acts. For those who want Alfira’s story to continue, taking her out of the fight is the only solution.

How to Remove Cloudkill in BG3

If you or your party are suffering from the deadly Cloudkill spell in Baldur’s Gate 3, staying calm and taking swift action is key to survival. Cloudkill fills the air with poisonous smoke that will slowly drain your health. Here are the steps to getting rid of it quickly:

Use Gust of Wind Spell

The Gust of Wind spell is the most reliable way to remove Cloudkill. This spell will magically blow away the poisonous cloud, curing anyone affected. Druids like Halsin and some wizards can learn Gust of Wind. Make sure to have at least one party member prepared to cast it at a moment’s notice.

If no one has Gust of Wind prepared, look for naturally windy areas on the battlefield. The environmental winds may shift and disperse the Cloudkill for you near rushing water or high cliffs. However, standing in the wind is not guaranteed, and the effect could return, so be ready to reposition if needed.

As a last resort, if no magical aid is available, simply wait it out while maintaining distance from the source. Cloudkill will disappear on its own after a period of waiting.

Use healing spells, potions or rest to stabilise your health until the noxious fumes clear. With quick action and a little luck, you can avoid Cloudkill claiming any victims in your group. Planning spell options and terrain is key to surviving deadly magical threats.

There is no fix for Mundane Chest bug, and here’s why:

What was the Bug?

According to Larian Studios, the developers of BG3, the original Chest of the Mundane implementation that reduced item weights was the unintended bug. The chest was never meant to alter weights in this way.

Rather than reducing weight, the Chest of the Mundane is supposed to function more like a traditional Bag of Holding. It allows storing items without counting towards your carry limit. But items inside would still have their normal weights.

No Fix Available for the Chest of the Mundane bug

By fixing the chest to work as originally intended rather than reducing weights, Larian removed what players saw as a helpful feature. Unfortunately, there is no way to reintroduce the weight reduction normally, as it was never a legitimate game mechanic.

Can Modders Provide a Solution?

With time, a mod may become available that restores the previous Chest of the Mundane functionality as a homebrew option. But officially, Larian considers the current behavior without weight reduction to work as intended. For now, players will need to manage inventory weights more carefully or send excess items to their camp for storage.

3 – Adamantine Scale Mail

2 – Adamantine Longsword

The absolute best item crafted at the Adamantine Forge is the Adamantine Splint Armor. It provides the heaviest defensive stats with an AC of 18, a higher damage reduction of 2, and sending foes reeling for 3 turns. Its high sell value also allows recouping costs if outgrown. While all items here strengthen parties, the splint armor exemplifies the forge’s power to its fullest.

Glut, a dissenting Myconid, seeks to overthrow Spaw and take control of the colony for himself. This guide helps should you side with Spaw or Glut in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3).

Kill Spaw or Glut in BG3?

We recommend that you side with Spaw. Keeping him in power allows you to continue quests and activities within the Underdark. You gain access to more resources, loot, and opportunities to advance side questlines by maintaining the status quo. While Glut promises more freedom, overthrowing Spaw risks destabilizing the grove and potentially leading to its destruction.

Siding with Glut (Rewards)

Glut sees himself as the rightful sole ruler and thinks Spaw is weak. He wants to expand the Myconid colony’s power. However, Glut can’t necessarily be trusted. He’s ambitious and manipulative, using you to do his dirty work.

Killing the entire peaceful colony is an extreme act, even if they don’t resist. It shows Glut is ruthless in getting what he wants. In the long term, having Glut in charge could lead to more conflict and aggression from the Myconids, which impacts other races.

Siding with Spaw (Rewards)

Spaw’s priority is protecting his people, not domination or expansion. He takes a more cautious approach. The Myconid colony has co-existed peacefully for a long time under Spaw’s leadership. It’s not clear Glut could maintain that.

Spaw rewards your loyalty personally by giving you the rare and powerful Shadow of Menzoberranzan helmet. His title, “Kin Spirit,” suggests you’ll have the Myconids’ trust and protection going forward in the Underdark. Helmet and title could provide more quests/factions to ally with later than Glut’s items.

Managing your inventory in Baldur’s Gate 3 can become challenging as you explore the world and acquire new weapons, armor, and treasures. With Patch 3, the developer, Larian Studios, introduced an important quality-of-life improvement – the shared stash. We’ll explain using shared stash in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3).

Shared Stash in BG3 Explained

Shared stash is a feature introduced in recent patches that allows party members to share key items with the main character when they leave the active party. The goal is to prevent players from losing access to important items if a companion departs.

However, some players have expressed frustration with how it functions. Every time a party member leaves, key items like Camp Supply Packs and tools are automatically added to the player’s inventory. This can overload the carrying capacity quickly and make inventory management more tedious.

How Does Shared Stash Work in Baldur’s Gate 3?

When dismissing a companion from the active party, a notification will inform you which stash items they have contributed. This includes only a few select crucial aid items. Though not a large quantity, ferrying multiple companions’ stashes around can become bothersome, especially for players who regularly exceed their carry weight.

Can You Disable Shared Stash?

At this point, there is no option to turn off the shared stash mechanic in BG3. Whenever sending a character back to camp, their shared items will be unattributed regardless of the player’s preference. The only way to avoid it currently is by reloading previous saves.

Although players desire the inclusion of a setting that allows them to deactivate this feature, Larian Studios has not yet implemented a toggle for this feature.

One of the side quests in Baldur’s Gate 3 is Help the Cursed Monk where you lift the curse of the spirit of the amulet. It is about you reuniting the spirit with its granddaughter. But things start to go south when you actually bring them together, as you get to know about the curse that will make you laugh forever. Since you are the one to reunite them, you end up with the choice of having to accept the curse or refuse it. So here is how you can help the spirit and what happens in both choices.

How to Complete Help the Cursed Monk in Baldur’s Gate 3 (Spirit of the Amulet)

To add this quest to your journal, you first need the Sentient Amulet that you can get at the Adamantine Forge. After you get the amulet, you will find that there is a Spirit inside of it. It will talk to you and will tell you its desire to be reunited with its granddaughter in Wyrm’s Crossing. Accept its request and you will get the quest. Now here is what you do:

1. Go to the Open Hand Temple in Wyrm’s Crossing.
2. Talk to the NPCs here about Shirra Clarwen. You will find out that she has been dead for years now.
3. But you can use the hatch in the Kitchen to reach the crypt where she was buried.
4. Make your way to her tomb and interact with it.
5. As soon as you do that, the Spirit will come out of the Amulet.
6. Interact with the purple Monk’s manifestation and it will now possess Shirra’s body.
7. After a dialogue, the possessed Shirra will bring up who will take the curse and will ask “Shall it be – THOU?”
8. Here you have two choices:
   • Accept the curse: You can negate the curse’s negative effects by using your WISDOM, CONSTITUTION, Or ILLITHID & WISDOM, skill checks. If you are successful you get Tasha’s Hideous Laughter and no side effects. In case you fail the checks you end up with -2 Wisdom for your stats.
   • Refuse the curse: Refusing the curse will trigger a fight. This way you do not get Tasha’s Hideous Laughter but can easily end the quest after defeating Shirra and other undead corpses in the tombs.

Facing the BG3 Magic Mirror not working issue at your camp? With the most recent Patch 3, a plethora of features have been added by Larian Studios alongside the full Mac support. One of these features includes the Magic Mirror which can be easily accessed from your camp. But as players use it for customizing their characters, they are unable to use the Magic Mirror in Baldur’s Gate 3. While there can be many reasons for this issue, we have compiled all the workarounds to resolve this issue.

Why Can’t You Use the Magic Mirror in Baldur’s Gate 3?

As the patch notes for Patch 3 states, there are some restrictions to use the Magic Mirror in BG3. The Origin characters, Hirelings, and full Illithids cannot use the Magic Mirror. It simply allows you to change your appearance, voice, pronouns, and nether regions whenever and however many times you would like to.

If you are playing as a Tav and still can’t use Magic Mirror, there can be other reasons. Don’t worry, here are some workarounds or solutions to resolve this issue:

How to Fix the BG3 Magic Mirror Not Working Issue

Before you start with any workarounds, we recommend updating Baldur’s Gate 3 to the latest version for applying any recent hotfixes by the devs. But if that didn’t fix the Magic Mirror not working issue, try out the below workarounds.

Delete Mods Folder

As it worked out the issue for many players, you can disable the mods to resolve this issue.

• For that, delete all the installed Mod Save files or data to fix this error. You can find the folder for all the Mod saves over here:
  • Local Disk> Program Files > x86 > Steam > Steamapps > Common > Baldur’s Gate 3 > Data
• Delete the Mods folder in this folder.
• Also, head to the following path by default:
  • Local Drive > Users > Username > AppData > Local > Larian Studios > Baldur’s Gate 3
• Delete the Mods folder from here, as well.
• Launch BG3 and head to your camp to check if the issue persists.

Verify Game Files Integrity

You can also encounter the can’t use the Magic Mirror issue in BG3 if your game files are missing or corrupted. To resolve this, rather than re-installing the game, you can verify your game files. This process will download those files instead of re-downloading the entire game. So, here’s where you can find this option:

Steam

• Launch Steam > Right-click on Baldur’s Gate 3 > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files.

GOG

• Launch GOG Galaxy > Library > Select BG3 > More > Manage > Verify / Repair Game Files.
