Since then, the player count has dropped massively which is expected due to its genre. At the time of writing, there were almost only 150 active players playing it. The Devourer in Minecraft Legends is the piglin leader of the Horde of the Spore, and a tough mob boss to beat. For those unaware, the Devourer is one of the generals of the Great Hog. It enters the Overworld once you destroy some of the piglin bases. Many players are having trouble reaching this mob boss. To help you out, we’ll tell you how to spawn, reach and defeat this boss.

How to Spawn & Find the Devourer

To spawn the Devourer into the Overworld, players must destroy all Horde of the Spore bases. Once you do that, the Devourer will rise from its soup bath and enter the Overworld. Now, to find this mob boss, simply open your map and look for an area highlighted in turquoise green color with a Nether portal at the center.

Preparing for Devourer Battle

The Devourer in Minecraft Legends is strong, so you should prepare before entering the fight. The first thing you’ll need is a lot of wood. This is unlike other Horde of the Spore bases, where you must climb the platforms and destroy the portal. In this fight, the boss moves around on platforms so you’ll need loads of wood to build ramps and platforms.

Next, build a Cure Netherrack on the border of the corrupted grounds. Then, build the Spawners for Creepers, Golems, and Zombies. Zombies work well against the Devourer because they are not affected by the poison. Other mobs like the Cobblestone Golems and Plank Golems will help you beat the nearby piglins and destroy their offensive structures. Last but not least, some Mossy Golems to help you heal in the heat of the battle.

How to Beat the Devourer in Minecraft Legends

To beat the Devourer in Minecraft Legends:

1. Make your way to the platform on which the Devourer has settled.
2. As you scale different platforms, destroy the structures on them to protect your mob.
3. Once you reach the Devourer’s platform, send your Zombies and Plank Golems to inflict damage.
4. This boss has several melee attacks like Smash and AoE attacks like Vomit and Puss Spew. Make sure you hit and run to avoid damage from these attacks.
5. At 70% health, the Devourer will jump to a different platform, meaning you’re close to beating it in Minecraft Legends. Chase it and continue your barrage of attacks.
6. Again at 30% health, the Devourer will jump to the platform with the Nether portal. Build new ramps and head over to this platform.
7. Now, use all your mobs and attack to deplete its health.
8. Once you beat this boss, you’ll receive 100 Gold and a Piglin Key.

3. Defeat the Piglins on the way and destroy the walls. You don’t have to demolish the entire base. Just create a path to the Great Hog. Destroy the towers so you don’t get hit with fire arrows.
4. Once you’re in the range, the Great Hog will attack you with its ranged attacks. The Spears are easy to dodge. However, the Ring of Fire will quickly deplete your health. Make sure you spot a puddle to dip in after getting it by the fire.
5. As you reach closer, it’ll use its melee attacks.
6. Now all you have to do is let your mob attack the Great Hog. Send your Golems, Creepers, Warriors, and Zombies to fight it while you head back and summon more mobs.
7. After a while, the mobs will defeat the Great Hog for you.

You need to download the Lost Legends from the Marketplace. Each month the game releases a new Lost Legend. At the time of writing this article, you can complete the Portal Pile Legend to get The Portal Buster Hero skin.

How Can I Unlock & Wake the Firsts in Minecraft Legends (Locations)

In Minecraft Legends, to unlock & wake all the Firsts you’ll have to find one scattered over the biomes. Once you’ve encountered a First Mob, simply head to the Well of Fate and craft the Improvement: Wake the Firsts structure. To do so you’ll need 100x Stone & 100x Prismarine. All First Golem Spawn Locations

As mentioned earlier, the Firsts are usually spotted in random locations. But don’t worry, they only reside in particular biomes and are indicated by a yellow question mark (?) on the map.

• The First of Stone can be located in Meadow Biomes.
• The First of Oak can be located in Badlands Biomes.
• The First of Diorite can be located in Jagged Peak Biomes.
• The First of Brick can be located in Dry Savanna Biomes.

Just like the original game, you should get yourself some Iron in Minecraft Legends because it will be quite useful. Since this is a new game you cannot go underground to mine it. Its farming process has been changed and Allays do the collection for you. So without further ado here are some of the best places where you can find it.

How to Get Iron in Minecraft Legends

The best locations to farm Iron in this game are Dry Savanna, Forest, and the Fatelands biomes. Before you can start collecting Iron you first need to construct an Iron Gather Improvement. This becomes available after you destroy the 3 Piglin outposts during the game’s tutorial.

1. Go to the Well of Fate and construct the Iron Improvement beside the Improvement hub.
2. The game will now give you 25 Iron for completing the tutorial. And will teach you the melody that you should to use to make your allays gather Iron.
3. Next, open your map and check the areas where you can get Iron. Your map is very useful because it shows you exactly the type of resources you can find in the area.
4. Go to any of the above locations which are near you.
5. After reaching here, use your Allay tune which lets you collect Iron.
6. Unlike Trees or Stones, Iron is fairly harder to spot. Try placing your allay above ground that has iron blocks. It should somewhat look like the stone block but will have light-orange patches on it.
7. On the bottom left screen, you will see an Allay less, it indicates an allay is gathering and adding Iron to your inventory.

While the above method should be your main way to farm iron, you can also get it by Opening Village Chests. After you save a village the villages will gather resources and fill up the chest. Make sure you collect these resources when you are passing them by.

Now you can that you have enough iron you can use it to spawn mossy and grindstone golems. You will also need it along with gold to activate the first of brick golem.
