One of the most annoying bugs since the release is the Forza Motorsport Texture Not Loading, or model popping in and out. As a result of this error, most players cannot see the track since it is either blacked out or greyed. Recently while I was playing the game, not only did I encounter the Crashing error, the texture wasn’t looking too bright either.

The pitch black disappearance of the road, the texture of the car not loading for the podium, and other texture issues are something I faced. And this happened during a regular race so what if it happens when the stakes are actually high. In this guide, you can check out all there is on the texture pop in and pop out errors in the game.

Currently, there is no way to fix the Forza Motorsport texture not loading issue. While the developers fix this issue with an update or patch, players will have to wait patiently. Although it would be advisable to use the best Graphic Settings while playing Forza Motorsport, that’s about that can be offered right now. The exact nature of why the error is popping in is unknown and as a result, it’s impossible for any fix to be mentioned. Although it is yet to make its way onto the known issues for Forza Motorsport, the developers are certainly working on this error and we might be able to see a result soon.

It can be pretty annoying for the tracks and other surrounding texture to disappear while racing. However, it is what it is and since the game is new, the developers will have to keep on working numerous errors for the game to be playable. Seemingly, device specs have nothing to do with it since players with high graphics and faster processing units are also facing this. Not to forget Xbox players who are in the same boat as the PC players are.

In the meanwhile, don’t hesitate in contacting Forza Support since they are professionally poised to help you and get you a smooth gaming experience. If you found this guide useful, do check out our Forza Motorsport dedicated section for more such guides right here at Gamer Tweak.

Update GPU Drivers

GPU Drivers are one of the main components of PC gaming and must be kept updated constantly. If your GPU drivers aren’t updated, you will likely face the Forza Motorsport Crashing Or Not Launching issue. To fix it, simply head to the website of your GPU driver to check and download updates. Nvidia users can click here, and AMD users can follow this link.

Update Microsoft Windows

Make sure that your Windows is updated and that you have not missed any new updates. Since it can lead to different types of errors in Forza Motorsport 8, you will have to follow the steps below:

  • Click on your Start Menu and then click on Settings.
  • In the new window, you need to look for Update and Security.
  • Now to update windows, click on the button that says Check For Updates.
  • If there are updates pending, the display screen will show you the option to Update Windows.

Update DirectX & C++ Redistributable

This is one of the first things you must do if you encounter the error. Since the error is DirectX related, you will have to make sure that your set up is running the latest DirectX and C++ Redistributable. But before you download the latest ones, make sure you delete the old C++ programs to make sure you have the updated ones.

  • Press the Windows Key + R, and then run the appwiz.cpl command.
  • Locate the Microsoft Visual C++ programs in the list.
  • Make sure you select each entry and then click Uninstall.
  • You are now free to reinstall the new files.

Allow Forza Motorsport on Windows Defender Firewall

Your Windows Defender Firewall settings might be blocking some necessary files and this might cause the Forza Motorsport Crashing Or Not Launching. Here’s how you can add it to the Exception list:

  • Open the Firewall & Network Protection from your Windows Security.
  • Locate and click Allow an app through Firewall.
  • Look for the Forza Motorsport files in the list.
  • If you can’t find it, follow these steps –
    • Click on Change Settings.
    • Click on Add Another App.
    • Browse for your Forza Motorsport Files and then Add the game to the Exception list.
  • Once you add the game to the Exception list, it should not have any problem with Windows Defender.

Reset Microsoft Store

One of the important steps that Forza Motorsport support suggests is to reset the Microsoft Store before installing the game. This clears any kind of cache files and refreshes library permissions from the application. Here’s what you need to do:

  • Press Windows + R on your keyboard and then run the wsreset.exe command.
  • Once you press Ok, Windows will refresh the Microsoft Store in the background.
  • After a brief black screen, the Microsoft Store will open and you can now try installing Forza Motorsport.

Additional Troubleshooting Tips

  • Before you start, search Task Manager on PC and then end any other tasks that might be consuming too much of your CPU.
  • Run the game as Administrator and you might fix the Forza Motorsport Crashing Or Not Launching issues.
  • Simply Boot your PC before trying to start the game.
  • While these troubleshooting tips generally fix the issue, Forza Support have mentioned a few more that might be needful if your case is a unique one. We recommend you check them out. Also, you should not hesitate contacting Forza Support regarding any such troubles.

Hopefully, you can get back to playing Forza Motorsport 8 in no time. If you found this guide useful, do check out our Forza Motorsport dedicated section for more such guides here at Gamer Tweak.

How To Skip Practice In Forza Motorsport

When you play the Career mode, Forza Motorsport starts with a Practice race which many players want to skip. This is especially true for the veterans of the series. Although there is a good reason for these matches. They give you the ability to rewind when you go off-track or collide with another car. This becomes helpful because you now know how to avoid the previous mistake. You also earn XP by playing them. But if this game feature isn’t for you, then here is how you can skip it.

How to Skip Practice in Forza Motorsport

You can choose the Skip Practice option in the menu to start the actual race. There is no option to directly start a race without going through practice first. So here is what you do:

  1. Go to the Pause menu by pressing the Esc key or the menu button on your controller.
  2. Click on the last option, below the settings icon.
  3. Here you will get 3 options:
    • Restart Practice
    • Skip Practice
    • Quit Event
  4. Here, click on the Skip Practice option.
  5. Finally, confirm your choice and you will be out of the practice session. Now, you can start the main race event.

Should You Play Practice Races?

Ideally, it is a good idea to complete the practice race sessions, as they can be used to earn Car XP (CXP). These races give you different tasks that you can use to get used to the circuit. Here are some of the tasks you may get:

  • Complete x number of laps
  • Complete them within the target lap time.

The XP you get for your car during these sessions is useful as they unlock several upgrades. Depending on the difficulty you choose before starting the race, the amount of rewards you get increases with the higher difficulty options and reduces when it is easy. Make sure to regularly upgrade your existing car or buy a new one. Otherwise, after a point, you won’t be able to keep up with other cars as you progress the mode.

Another big reason you should play it is because it makes you aware of the track. So when you play the actual race you will know exactly where to slow down, when to speed up, and which turns to take.

But if you are short on time and these reasons don’t appeal to you, then go ahead and skip it.

That’s all on how to skip practice in this game. Be sure to also check out our Forza Motorsport full cars list.
