The Scholar’s Armament in Elden Ring is one of the sorcery items that you equip and use to cast enchantments on your weapons. As you apply the armament to your right hand weapon and use it against your enemy, it will cause magical damage to them. Open the Elden Ring map, and search for Waypoint Ruins in Limgrave region. There you can find the Limgrave Cave. Talk to Sorceress Sellen and take a sorcery class from her. Then purchase the Scholar’s Armament from Sorceress Sellen for 3000 runes in Elden Ring.

How to Equip Scholar’s Armament in Elden Ring

1. Find a Site of Grace and rest there.
2. Then select the Memorize Spell option from the left-hand side menu.
3. You will require 12 intelligence points to equip the Scholar’s Armament.
4. Then hold a Staff in your left hand and a Weapon in your right hand.
5. Select a weapon that is fire, magic, and lightning resistant as the enchantments do not work on such weapons.

How to Get to the Subterranean Shunning Grounds in Elden Ring

Although the location is not that far, traversing through Leyndell will seem confusing. These steps will help you easily reach the Elden Ring Subterranean Shunning Grounds:

1. To start this run, you need to first head towards the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace in the Leyndell, Royal Capital.
2. From the Avenue Balcony, run down the stairs northwest, and then head out to the west. Now hop over the fence and get down below on the burned-out streets filled with dead bodies.
3. Watch out for Albinaurics that come your way. Make sure you run north and look for a well. Once you spot the well, jump right into it descending the stairs to find yourself in the sewers.
4. Now, don’t forget to turn on your lantern as it is quite dark down here.
5. Once you are at the bottom of the stairs, you will find a metal door to your left. Head through it and then jump down to continue heading deep into the sewer.
6. Soon you will find yourself in a room full of Giant Rats. If you have a Beast-Repellent Torch, you can simply use it or run past the rats further through the door ahead. Soon, you will reach the Subterranean Shunning Grounds in Elden Ring.
7. Head further through the path and you will also find a Rune Arc. Keep heading ahead and you will reach the end of the path with stairs to your left. Once you head down and take a left ahead, you will reach the Subterranean Shunning Grounds Site of Grace. 

One of the things that players need to note is that the Omens are patrolling this area and they might attack you before you reach the Site of Grace. Simply avoid them and get to the Site of Grace first. After resting, you can choose to fight the Omens & collect the loot or explore deeper into the sewers.

How to Get to the Isolated Merchant’s Shack from Heart of Aeonia

If you find yourself near the Heart of Aeonia Site of Grace, this alternative route will suit you perfectly. From here, head north towards Inner Aeonia Site of Grace continuing straight towards Abandon Cave which is to the east of Smoldering Wall Grace. From the Site of Grace here, continue slight to the northwest until you reach the Deep Siofra Well Site of Grace (north of the Siofra River).

Finally, as you head further north you will find yourself at the Dragonbarrow West Site of Grace. Now you can simply head up the hill to Isolated Merchant’s Shack and then purchase the Beast-Repellent Torch in Elden Ring.

How to Find the Isolated Merchant’s Shack from Rotview Balcony

From Rotview Balcony you have to travel east past Caelem Ruins and then slightly head northeast to reach Dragonbarrow West Site of Grace. From here you have to move northwest up the hill thereby reaching the Isolated Merchant’s Shack.

How to Use the Beast-Repellent Torch

As you can guess, the Beast-repellent Torch in Elden Ring protects you from:-

• Sanctified Whetblade
  • Unlocks – Ability to change the Affinity to Lightning and Sacred in Elden Ring.
  • Location – Teleport to the West Capital Rampart in Leyndell. Now, exit the chamber and take the stairs leading downwards. Exit by taking a left turn followed by which, you have to jump down. Further, take a left turn and climb the wooden structure on your right. Enter the door past the broken wall and take a left turn after that. Walk a bit until you locate the Sanctified Whetblade on that way.
• Black Whetblade
  • Unlocks – Ability to change Affinity to Poison, Blood, and Occult.
  • Location – Head to the Night’s Sacred Ground and acquire it next to a corpse in front of an altar.

• From there, head west to Fort Laiedd by riding your horseback.

• As you head inside the Fort, you will face the Fire Prelate guarding its entry door with a red thorny whip.
• Head inside the Fort and climb the wooden stairs to reach the upper level of the Fort. But be cautious as you can find several Leyndell Soldiers over here.
• You can either fight these enemies to farm runes or rush upwards to get the Talisman.
• Then, head left to find a wooden platform situated within the ramparts of the Fort.
• Finally, pick up the Fire Scorpion Charm next to a Talking spirit on the rampart.

How to Use it

You can use the Fire Scorpion Charm talisman by equipping it from the Inventory menu.

• The Fire Scorpion Charm increases the Fire damage by 12% but lowers the damage negation by 10% in PvE mode.
• While in PvP mode, using the Talisman raises the Fire damage by 8% and increases the physical damage dealt by 15%.
• You can stack up this talisman with the Flame Shrouding Cracked Tear to buff flame damage attacks.
• This talisman weighs 0.8 and you can sell it for 500 Runes.
