Will Tommy Vercetti Return in GTA 6?

Is the Car Livery an Easter Egg or GTA 6 Logo Leak?

While we cannot straight up claim that the Car Livery is an Easter Egg since Rockstar will obviously not give an official word, it is far from being a GTA 6 Logo leak. Although Rockstar maintained radio silence on everything since announcing the game, the September leaks gave fans something to look forward to. The Car Livery in GTA Online that got many fans excited sported the same variant of the eCola bottle that was seen in these leaks. When will GTA 6 Come Out?

Although there is no official word, these Easter Eggs are pointing out that there will be an announcement and a trailer to follow soon. Since a lot of things like the GTA 6 Map and Protagonist have been leaked, it would be a good time now for Rockstar to show fans everything there is to look forward to like a trailer or an actual logo for instance.

As we mentioned, there is no official word but rumors and leaks suggest that a trailer release is on the card around late 2023 or early 2024. That being said, it is unlikely that the game will be released anytime before late 2024 or early 2025.

Grand Theft Auto 6 Announcement Date

Update April 2023: As per insiders and rumors in the gaming industry, Grand Theft Auto 6 will be officially announced on May 17th, 2023. This may happen during Take-Two’s investors’ call.

GameSpot News revealed on March 7, 2023 that “according to reputable GTA leaker Tez2, the long-awaited game is aiming for a holiday 2024 launch.” But due to multiple shifts in the potential release date internally, there’s a chance that it could also be delayed to 2025.

Another information leaked by Tez2 is that the main game content could be reduced and put in a DLC that will release further ahead in the game’s roadmap.

Assuming they go for a similar strategy this time around too, we can expect a trailer in 2023. It was announced that Grand Theft Auto 6 was in the making by Rockstar Games in February 2022, but the development has most likely begun many years ago (some even speculate it was in 2014).

As Rockstar has revealed, they are aware that they need to exceed players’ expectations of GTA VI. This is why they are “steadily moving more development resources towards the next entry in the series”, thereby delaying the release date of the next in the RDR series.

So, now that most of the resources in the company are dedicated to the completion of the game, it looks like the GTA 6 release date will stick to being in 2024 or 2025. It remains to be seen if any other issues create a delay in their roadmap.

GTA 6 Gameplay Leak

GTA 5 was still being Released on Next-gen Consoles and Getting Updates

As most fans know, Grand Theft Auto V (aka GTA 5) was released in September 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Soon after, players of PS4 and Xbox One got it in 2014 and finally, it was released in April 2015 for Windows and March 2022 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, the latest generation of consoles. Development was probably slowed down due to the team allocated to GTA 5 releases, updates for GTA Online, and the release of the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.

The Game has to Live up to Fan Expectations

As reported by TweakTown, GTA 6 is taking so long to develop because Rockstar has an obligation to deliver on fan expectations. Since GTA V has set a new benchmark in terms of storytelling, gameplay and concept, GTA VI has to surpass that somehow and that’s a Herculean task. Grand Theft Auto series has been the most dominant and popular gaming franchise in recent history and garners huge attention with each installment. Even though it has been over 7 years since a title in the series the game gets around 100,000 players logging in every single day to take part in things that do not seem to have an end.

But since the release of GTA V all the way back in 2013, the gaming industry has seen a ton of changes being introduced which at times do make the GTA V seems more like a relic when compared to other titles.

While the developers at Rockstar since GTA V have worked on other titles, there seems to have been absolutely no legitimate news about GTA 6 other than the fact that it is in production.

1. Better Gun Controls

If you have gotten into GTA V recently, you will immediately see that the gun controls are horrid to put things nicely. The fact that the developers at Rockstar do not even give you the option of having a cross-hair in the game shows how ancient some of the game mechanics have been.

Every gun that you get in the game basically feels the same and all you get is a small little white dot that you have to aim at people to shoot them. Different guns do not even feel different and the recoil of each gun is similar and unnatural.

For a game that relies so much on violence to sell its theatrics, GTA 6 needs to have better gun controls and a more complete experience when a character holds a gun.

2. Driving Mechanics

Driving cars in GTA V is fun. We do not take it for granted and have driven countless miles on the streets of Los Santos cruising from one place to another but you get a similar experience wherever you drive. No two roads are the same and you can see this perfected in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Cars in GTA V seem to be paperweight at times as each car upon impact will either fly off the road or while driving will never give you the confidence of the rubber on your tire and the tarmac working in cohesion. Cars seem to glide on the streets of Los Santos and we believe this is one element that Rockstar can massively improve upon.

3. Missions

While most of the missions in the GTA series have been about either driving from one place to another, shooting someone down or a blend of these things it can severely hamper the experience. GTA V was the first game in the series that forced players to try out new things.

What we would like to see in GTA 6 is a less linear mission structure where the players have more control over how they want to complete the missions like in the Hitman series. This will make each player have a different experience and each play-through will feel different with different outcomes. This will massively boost the replayability of the title making every decision you make more cohesive to the story and them having consequences.

While we adore all the story-line that we’re fed by the writers at Rockstar but what if we could be the narrator of our experience of GTA 6, that would make the game even more memorable when it is your own actions that bring about a sudden and unexpected twist.

4. Aftermath

While it is established that all of the GTA games take place in the same universe and all of the characters are from the same country, it would be incredible to see some legacy of the past characters left behind.

We would love to see the Vercetti mansion seen in Vice City if the city is brought back to the GTA Series, and not only as something that you can see but as a purchasable property where you can see how much the place has changed in the years. This will give us more depth in knowing what happened to our favorite characters over the years instead of being a part of a single line of dialogue in the never-ending script of the game.

5. Mod Support

If there is one demographic who can quickly recognize what the game lacks and add in independent content to improve the game they are the modders. GTA V has tons of unofficial mods that bring in more interior spaces making Los Santos feel complete as you can enter more buildings and find more stuff to do.

As expansive and ludicrous the exterior is, it really needs contrast with interiors and players having to do more at their safe houses than just change clothes, save the game, and other generic stuff. Modders are the quickest to react when they see something missing in the game and if GTA encourages this practice we will surely see works of art being poured in the game without Rockstar needing to do anything about it.

GTA 6 is one of the most highly anticipated games in the world right now and there has been a lot of speculation about it. Although the release window is estimated to be around 2023 to 2024, small details that are leaking about the game are making fans excited for it already. One such feature that has leaked is this: GTA 6 might just have VR. Since the VR tech is consistently advancing, which is especially visible in Iron Man VR, we can expect it to be taken to a whole new level in GTA 6.

GTA 6 VR: Will Grand Theft Auto VI have Virtual Reality?

Video Games Deluxe, which is a developer based in Australia, has posted a job opening for a AAA open-world game that is based on Virtual Reality and is a “groundbreaking project”. Since the developers have worked with Rockstar Games for L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files, fans are guessing that this job opening could be for GTA 6 VR. This is not confirmed though but if the next instalment of GTA is going to be bigger and better – Virtual Reality could be the feature to make that happen. There’s also a chance that Rockstar is bringing GTA 5 or Red Dead Redemption 2 to VR. Since they are releasing GTA 5 in an Expanded and Enhanced format to PS5 and Xbox Series X, this possibility could also be true.

Grand Theft Auto games are based on a life of crime and it will be interesting to know how you will be able to experience the open world and basically do whatever you want in GTA VR. We also cannot wait to see how differently Rockstar will approach the new game and how it will break the records set by GTA V.
